Sniper Elite V2 features detailed sniping
simulation with advanced ballistics, taking into account gravity, wind,
velocity, bullet penetration, aim stability and more. Guaranteed to
provide players with the most realistic simulation of military
sharpshooting yet available.
The game features authentic World War II Berlin locations as well as
vehicles, weapons such as the Springfield M1903, the Gewehr 43 and the
Mosin-Nagant 1891/30, and uniforms modeled after the original
versions...." The awesome guys at Rebellion (Im proud to say
a UK based dev studio) have sent us their Sniper Elite V2 system
requirements. If you have not heard about Sniper Elite V2 then let me
just say it takes the kill-cam idea to the next level. Here you go,
check this trailer out to see what I mean.
Set during the second world war you get to be one bad ass marksman.
If you pre-order then you get the chance to take down the Fuhrer
himself, with a bonus DLC that lets you try to assassinate Hitler. Who
doesnt want to try their arm at that now? Anyway, lets see if you can
play it and take a look at the Sniper Elite V2 system requirements...
Update - We have been advised that these requirements are what a
gamer will need in order to get a good experience of Sniper V2. The game
can make use of more powerful hardware and likewise could run on a less
powerful machine with some settings turned down.

Mass Effect 3
Gameplay in Mass Effect 3 will be influenced by decisions from Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 and will include locations throughout the galaxy, including Earth and Mars. Combat has been changed and refined; in particular, the cover system has been improved, there will be more options for moving around the battlefield, instant melee kills and conventional grenades will be introduced, and there will be increased artificial intelligence.
Mass Effect 3 will follow from the events of the Mass Effect 2 DLC expansion Arrival and follow Commander Shepard as he/she tries to save the galaxy from the Reapers by rallying civilizations of the galaxy together, while also having to deal with Cerberus, who have decided to turn against him/her..."
Biowares, Chris Priestly has announced the Mass Effect 3 system requirements and ME3 Demo date.
The ME3 demo will be with us in mid Feb but lets take a look at some Mass Effect 3 details, the exact demo date and the full Mass Effect 3 system requirements...

GFX RAM - 256 MB* (with Pixel Shader 3.0 support)
Audio - DirectX 9.0c compatible
DX - DirectX 9.0c August 2009 (included)
*Supported chipsets: NVIDIA 7900 or better; ATI X1800 or better. Please note that NVIDIA GeForce 9300, 8500, 8400, and 8300 are below minimum system requirements, as are AMD/ATI Radeon HD3200, HD3300, and HD4350. Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required.
Mass Effect 3 Recommended System Requirements

GFX RAM - 512MB (with Pixel Shader 3.0 support)
Finally, dont forget ME3 will use Origin, EA's download platform and their answer to Valve's Steam service. Origin will be installed on your computer during your game setup.
Demo
The Mass Effect 3 Demo will be with us on or close to Feb 14th 2012. It will be coming to all platforms around that date but may shift slightly depending on the platform and the geo location.
The single player section includes 2 areas: the opening level featuring the Reaper attack on Earth, and a level further into the game where Shepard travels to an alien home world to seek their assistance in the war effort. This will be approximately 1 to 2 hours of content. The co-op multiplayer section includes 2 maps: Slum and Noveria. This section will be open to players who have qualified for the early multiplayer access as of Feb 14, and will then open up to all players on Feb 17.
Question - Can I import saves from Mass Effect 2? Does the demo create a save game for the full version of Mass Effect 3? The demo does not support save importing and does not create a save game for the full version of Mass Effect 3.
Will playing the Mass Effect 3 demo spoil the main game story for me? The single player section of the Mass Effect 3 demo is taken from the main game and therefore by definition could be considered to contain spoilers. The multiplayer section of the demo does not contain spoilers.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
Call of Duty: Black Ops II is the next in the title in the popular COD series and will be releasing fairly soon, November 2012.
We already knew that BO2 will be using its ageing game engine, so requirements weren't predicted to be that high, but Treyarch have offficially sent word about their Call of Duty Black Ops 2 system requirements, so lets take a look at the details...
Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows Vista SP2 / Windows 7
CPU: Intel Core2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHZ
RAM 32-Bit OS: 2 GB RAM
RAM 64-Bit OS: 4 GB RAM
GPU RAM: 512MB
GPU: Nividia GeForce 8800 GT / ATI Radeon HD 3870
DX: 11
Here are some obvious questions that you may like covered before you pick up a pre-order.
Does the game run on Windows XP?
No. Following the game engine upgrade, it requires DirectX11 now. Windows XP does not support that and so COD BO2 requires Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7 or better.
Does Black Ops 2 actually run ok on a machine that just meets the BO2 minimum requirements?
Yes Black Ops 2 will run on a machine that meets minimum system requirements. Treyarch assure us that they have run extensive tests on a variety of hardware and are very confident that a minimum requirement machine can run the game to a suitable standard.
What game engine does Black Ops II use?
They are sticking with a modified version of the game engine known as Black Ops. It has a number of improvements, including performance optimizations, enhanced graphics, and proprietary anti-cheat technology.
Please explain the performance optimizations of Black Ops II?
The engine now handles multiple threads much more effectively and will now also use Direct X 11 instead of the previous Direct X 9 technology.
DX11's API is much leaner than DX9 and therefore puts less stress on the CPU while still being able to do the same amount of processing. This enhancement will benefit all hardware and not just DX11 hardware. With extra quality to performance options added in to the game a gamer can now customize their experience, choosing whether to run something faster or instead to enahnce the look of the game.
Will the PC version of Black Ops 2 get enhanced graphics?
The PC version of Black Ops 2 will come with some advanced visual features that include, enhanced lighting, shadows, antialiasing, bloom, depth of field, ambient occlusion, and other enhancement effects that are currently still being worked on. Also there will be higher resolutions options and an increased framerate for the PC.
Will Black Ops 2 have a framerate cap on the PC?
No. But Treyarch will allow you to set a framerate cap if you want it. They have added in an adjustable FPS cap slider in the game options. The minimum setting is OFF (no cap).
So there we go. No doubt this is likely to be another masssive release and one that even creaky aging PCs will likely be able to play.
Our calculations suggest that a PC that is around 4 years old will be able to play this game fairly easily, providing it is DX11 capable.
